We just got home late last night. I would like to thank all those who attended this great reunion. I would especially like to thank Jack, Jerry, and Russ for putting on an extraordinary show. The presentation of the reunion flag to Bob Madore and the AVEL shadow boxes to Bobbi Stephens and Roseann Johnson was something very special.
Pete I can't say enough about your speaking and presentation, excellent.

The Town & Country Inn was top notch, all the things to do in and around Charleston was lots of fun. It gave the attendees so many things to choose from there wasn't enough time to see it all. If the reunion was to be in Charleston again, we would be there in a minute.

Welcome Home all and thank you all.

To update everyone on the conditions here in Charleston: The water is gone and Charleston is about back to normal. I checked and found that all restaurants, bars, shops will be open for business as usual. The hotel did not have any flooding issues. The weather outlook is for sunny to partly cloudy for the next 10 days (Weather Channel 10-day outlook), temps in the mid to upper 70's, perhaps 80 on the sunniest days. Golf course will be in good shape. Look forward to nice weather for doing all of the touristy things Jerry itemized below. I would also recommend the Birds of Prey Center up at Awendaw, just north of Mt. Pleasant, for nature lovers. They are a center for injured birds of prey to be sent to for repairs and recovery and they have about every kind of eagle, hawk, owl, falcon, even buzzards and vultures, that you can think of. Very interesting place to visit.
The Parris Island trip change is unfortunate but was necessary. Believe me we tried to keep it alive but because of the contract with the bus company and the timing of the change, and the likelihood of no seats being available when we would have arrived, it was necessary to change the busses for use in transporting our group to the Friday Evening event and then back to the hotel. The really good news no fear of DUI's going back to the hotel. I will be glad to share the details leading to the decision with everyone, but not here. You'd be asleep before you could read it all.

Here is a list of suggestions of things to do in Charleston and this is just scratching the surface. On Saturday there is a Farmers Market at Marion Square from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. South Carolina Aquarium, The Battery/White Point Garden, Old City Market, Middleton Place, Rainbow Row, King Street Shopping District, Waterfront Park, Fort Sumter, Boone Hall, Drayton, Hall, Magnolia Plantation, USS Hunley, Huguenot Church, Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, USS Yorktown, Folly Beach, Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, Aiken-Rhett House. For me I just love walking around the Downtown Historic District.
